On June 25 it was Christmas once again, in the middle of early summer 2021, because Nora En Pure gifted us with a new live DJ set, recorded on June 25, 2021 in front of the beautiful mountain scenery around the Arnen reservoir in Switzerland.

Nora treats us again with a first-class set – who would expect anything else? The mix consisting of my own tracks (the ingenious Aquatic, Monsoon and the beautiful Thermal, which I absolutely have to put on the purchase list) and of course the latest releases of Nora’s own label Purified Records. Nora then drapes the whole thing distinguishedly with a few more pearls from other acts.
In particular Faithless with „I Need Someone“ in the Yotto Remix seems to have impressed her strongly, it is really an absolute hammer track, as I had already announced to her elsewhere at the release of this track. In addition, Ben Böhmer then comes with „Runaway“ and „Her Entrance“ by Parra For Cuva in the mix of Innellea. I myself adore the Berliner-by-choice and Göttingen-born Nicolas Demut a.k.a. Parra For Cuva, but I wonder why it had to be the remix of Innellea… well okay. Parra For Cuva’s original mix is much more expressive and atmospheric, in my opinion the somewhat overrated Innellea has slightly screwed up the track – danceability aside.
But nevertheless Nora En Pure is starting to give me shivers because of the track selection like „I Need Some One“ as well as „Her Entrance“, as Nora hits exactly my nerve and my musical soul like nobody else. This is where lonely goosebumps go up my spine, as I said before I really like Parra For Cuva, even if it wouldn’t necessarily have had to be the Innellea remix – even if Innellea had been ennobled by a Cercle Full Length Video Produktion vor ein paar Wochen geadelt worden ist und derzeit mächtig Airplay bekommt.
And with those lonely goosebumps triggered by Nora En Pure and her music, I’ve been feeling that way since June 20, 2020. When I first saw her video „Nora En Pure presents Purified 200 | Gstaad, Switzerland„, Nora so to speak took me by storm with this set, I listened to her entire works non-stop up and down for months.
Nevertheless, Nora En Pure and I behave like the sun and a planet. I do not want to slide into fan raptures now, for that shit I am too old – as I think. So Nora is my fixed star and my whole musical life rotates around her and my musical life IS my life.
And I am behaving like the planet orbiting around the fixed star. Again and again I find myself in perigee, far away from Nora and her music and on the long journey through the infinite musical universe, always in search of exciting new music – but at some point I’m back in apogee (according to the cosmic laws I can’t help it). Every now and then in my orbit I’m very close to my adored fixed star named Nora and it was always a lot of fun to tell Nora about one or another of the collected new discoveries, sometimes this found its way into the Purified Radio Show.
Since June 2020, Nora En Pure is my musical ur-meter for me, especially with her numerous own productions, and everything must be able to stand the comparison to her music – even if I can’t accept everything from her without criticism for organizational and technical reasons and then I also declare my opinion. Because I am well known for my cheeky big mouth and my principles, and it is very difficult to get me away from them.

But let’s get back to the video „Live @ Arnensee, Switzerland“. This video is an audiovisual treat of the highest order. Nora has perfectly chosen the mountain scenery around Lake Arnen, somewhere in the middle between Montreux and Gstaad in Switzerland. The breathtakingly beautiful scenery is perfectly staged by the video production specialists „Bemoved“ from Switzerland, with whom Nora has been working since the intergalactic trade wars, with spectacular camera drone flyovers and excellent camera work.
The video is available in 1080p in quite good quality, if you take the version in Nora En Pure’s YouTube Channel, the other in the Beatport / Microsoft version is full of advertising and also has the slightly worse image quality (artifact formation). The sound quality (MP4 with 128 kbps) ranges from okay to good, but nothing more.
